This is the seventh year for the Miss Southeast Oklahoma Scholarship Pageant; however, the Board of Directors has many years of experience as judges, competitors, directors and consultants.
“We gain momentum each year,” said Tascha Bond, Executive Director. “Because of community support we are able to provide great opportunities for more young women across southeast Oklahoma. We are not only providing an opportunity for personal growth, we are providing college scholarships as well.”Contestants will not only compete for tuition waivers, cash scholarships, and prizes, they will also gain poise, self confidence and additional skills which will benefit them for years to come. Contestants do not have to have prior pageant experience to compete. The Board encourages anyone interested in competing to visit the website at www.misssoutheasternoklahoma.com or become a fan of the Miss Southeastern Oklahoma Pageant on Facebook. The Miss America Organization is one of the nation’s leading achievement programs and the world’s largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women. Last year the Miss America Organization and its state and local organizations made available more than $45 million in cash and scholarship assistance. This assistance is not just for the handful of young women who become Miss America, but is available to all young women who compete in the state and local competitions as well.
