The Savage Storm will follow that with an Oct. 19 matchup against Arkansas-Monticello, also at 2 p.m., and the home stand will conclude on Oct. 22 when Southwestern Oklahoma State visits for a 7 p.m. contests.
SE is in the midst of a three-game losing skid, however, those loses came at the hand of MIAA foes, including then No. 13 Washburn. Overall the Storm are 8-11 on the year and 2-3 in Great American Conference play.
Southeastern is led by Emily Gentle on offense as she has tallied a 3.70 kills per set average, while Megan Kunkel and Ariel Sanders are each chipping in over two kills per set.
Madelynne Cera has triggered the offense with 8.19 assists per set, while also adding 1.36 kps along with 2.23 digs per set on defense with 21 blocks on the season.
The back row defense is led by Taylor Benner with 3.38 digs per set, while five others average at least two dps.
At the net, Sanders leads the defense with 44 blocks on the season, while Julia Benford has added 35, and Gentle has chipped in 33.
Southern Arkansas comes into the contest at 14-7 overall on the year and is tied for third in the league with a 4-2 conference record.
The Muleriders are led by Hailey McNee on offense with 3.03 kills per set, while Gabby Clark is dishing out 9.55 assists per set.
Defensively Lauren Woods is averaging a team-best 5.05 digs per set, while Amanda Monge has 57 total blocks.
UAM enters the weekend with an 11-10 record and a 2-4 mark in GAC play, a half-game behind SE in the standings.
The Cotton Blossoms are led by Tori Bozzo on offense with 2.83 kps, while Amy Bazemore is dishing out 6.21 assists per set.
Tusalava Kuaea leads the back row defense with 3.16 dps, while Gabriella Jandotti patrols the net with 75 blocks.
