Silo students, fourth through sixth grades, were invited Wednesday to explore the General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum’s “Road Show and Classroom.”
This traveling Road Show is a 60-foot long truck and trailer decorated with graphics and images from around the world. Inside the mobile museum are items from General Frank’s travels around the world.
Each piece was a gift given to the general by natives of the countries he visited. Exhibits showcase cultural, social, and geographical items and information from 24 Middle East Countries.
The items on display included: cultural dress and clothing, children’s toys, ceremonial items, and the first democratic ballot from Afghanistan.
Students toured through the trailer guided by workers from the General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum in Hobart, Oklahoma.
