State Rep. R.C. Pruett recently traveled to the area to present area fire departments with much needed equipment.
Automated external defibrillators were given to Roberta and Yuba fire departments for use in their service to the communities.
This equipment was purchased using Rural Economic Action Plan funds through the Southern Oklahoma Development Association.
State Sen. Josh Brecheen said, even though he was called away on business, he wanted to convey support and gratitude to the firefighters for the service they provide to their communities.
Pruett added that he was honored to be able to support the departments in their endeavor to provide their communities with this life-saving equipment.
REAP in this area is administered through the Southern Oklahoma Development Association, serving 10 counties.
