The superintendent of Silo Schools has resigned after holding the position for one year.
Donna Anderson made the announcement on her Facebook page.
“After a year of fighting a battle I could never win, I have resigned from Silo and taken a job with Cherokee Public School as the new superintendent,” she wrote. “Thank you to all my prayer warriors who helped me through this difficult time. I could not be more excited to be a Cherokee Chief.”
The Silo Board of Education hired Anderson as superintendent in July 2014, and among changes she implemented was free lunches for students and staff.
She had previously been superintendent at Bennington.
Anderson could not be reached for comment at press time this morning.
