One woman sustained injuries from a collision just south of Yuba Monday evening.
The accident occurred just before 7 p.m. on a gravel county road approximately a mile from State Highway 78.
The 16-year-old driver, Mackenzie Prater, told Highway Patrol Trooper Scott King that the she was temporarily blinded by the sun and dust and did not see the vehicle in front of her. She struck a riding mower driven by 37-year-old Melissa Prater with her Ford Taurus.
Melissa Prater was transported to Plano Medical Center with injuries to the head, arm and leg, as well as internal injuries.
She is reported to be in stable condition.
According to the report, the younger Prater was traveling too fast for the conditions.
