The Durant Kiwanis Club is sponsoring a Pastor Appreciation Day at their regular noon meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Kiwanis members are inviting their ministers and staff to join them for lunch and a program in appreciation of their dedicated service to the community.

Featured speaker will be Bob “Builder Bob” Crittendon from Ardmore.

A donation in each minister’s name will be made to The Eliminate Project to save 10 lives. Kiwanis International has teamed up with UNICEF to eliminate maternal/neonatal tetanus from the face of the earth.

“I can’t think of a better way of our club serving the children of the world,” said Darrell Mendez, president of Durant Kiwanis. “It is our privilege to honor our ministers by involving them in saving lives in communities less fortunate.”

Other ministers desiring to attend, contact Darrell Mendez at 924-9458, or any Kiwanis member, to make a reservation for lunch. The buffet meal will open at 11:30 a.m. at the Roadhouse restaurant.
