The Boys and Girls Club of Durant is celebrating National Boys & Girls Club week March 24-28. Daily events are planned to celebrate our youth and bring awareness to the how the Boys and Girls Club of Durant impacts lives.
All activities will take place at the Boys and Girls Club of Durant, 1303 Waco St., Durant, and the community is invited to participate.
Monday, March 24, Bring a Friend Day: This day encourages youth to bring a friend who doesn’t normally attend Club activities. This helps spread the word about how the Boys and Girls Club is both fun and educational.
Tuesday, March 25, Parents Day: They will highlight the role parents play in the Boys and Girls Club of Durant. They have the best parents who support the students, and Boys and Girls Club wants to focus on them.
All parents are welcome to attend, 4-7 p.m.
Wednesday, March 26, Red River Challenge: The Boys and Girls Club of Denison is visiting Durant. Come visit to see the Clubs participate in challenges including Foosball, dodge ball, tug-of-war, relay races, and an obstacle course.
Challenges will occur from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Thursday, March 27, Business Appreciation Day and Durant Chamber of Commerce After Hours: The Boys and Girls Club invites all local business to visit the Club from 5:30-7 p.m. to see what their support helps accomplish on a daily basis.
This is a great networking opportunity for professionals, and a way to learn more about the Boys and Girls Club of Durant.
Friday, March 28, Midnight Madness: The Boys and Girls Club of Durant will be open from 7 p.m.–midnight. This provides a safe and fun place for teenagers (ages 13-18) to hang out.
