Silo teams advance at Kingston NYC

KINGSTON - The Silo Lady Rebels reached the consolation final of the Kingston New Years Classic with a 44-29 victory over Rock Creek on Friday.
They outscored the Lady Mustangs 32-14 in the first half as Mary Grider shot her way to a game-high 18 points.
Riley Newton added 11 for Silo in the Friday win, while Karissa Marshall had seven and Hannah Bourne scored six. Harlie Heflin scored nine and Kaci Haislip had seven to top Rock Creek scorers.
Atoka defeated Kingston 55-32 on Friday as ShayLynn Bass poured in 24 for the Wampus Cats. Atoka girls reached the conference finals against Tishomingo, while Kingston played for third on Saturday against Talihina.

Atoka 51 Silo 44 - A 17-9 fourth quarter run helped push the Wampus Cats past Silo in a semifinal battle between two of the top-ranked teams in the region. Kendall Shives scored 24 for Silo and Lance House added 14. Silo played for third place against Kingston on Saturday afternoon.
Tishomingo 50 Rock Creek 34 - A late surge by the Indians bounced the Mustangs from the tournament on Friday. The game was tied at the half and Rock Creek trailed only 29-26 after three before Tishomingo mounted a 19-8 finish. Bronson Burns scored a team-high 13 for Rock Creek.
Latta 46 Kingston 38 - Kingston scoring leaders were Noah Hodges (14) and Mason Whipkey (8).
