BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - Southeastern saw its 2013-14 season come to an end on Friday night in the Great American Conference Tournament on the losing end of an 84-53 score against Arkansas Tech in Bartlesville, Okla.

The loss drops SE to 13-14 on the year.

The Savage Storm struggled from the field, shooting 30.8 percent, while the Golden Suns shot 50.0 percent for the game, including a 62.07 mark in the first half.

Breana Small-Peppers turned in the biggest night for SE, putting up 20 points as the lone double-digit scorer.

Shelby Hill turned in nine points in the contest, while Taylor Richards added eight.

Small-Peppers and Emily Williams each pulled down six rebounds to lead the team, while Kaylie Baxter dished out a team-best four assists.

Despite 21 Storm turnovers, ATU held just a 12-10 lead in points off those, while The Suns also held an 11-8 edge in second chance points and a 32-12 advantage in the paint.

Southeastern opened the game on an 8-2 run capped by a Richards layup with 16:31 to play in the first half, but ATU answered with a 25-4 run over the next 10 minutes to leave the Storm in a 27-12 hole.

That lead would grow to 22 at halftime with SE trailing 45-23.

The second half was not any better as ATU would push their advantage out as far as 32 points before finishing the contest at 84-53.
