In baseball district results, the Caddo Bruins and Boswell Scorpions stayed alive to play another round. In softball, the Rock Creek Lady Mustangs are headed to the State playoffs and Bennington girls fell out with two loses yesterday.
Caddo Bruins fell to Rattan 10-0, then rebounded with a dramatic 7-6 win over Cameron with a clutch sixth-inning three-run home run by senior Tanner Grace. Caddo plays Wright City at 4 p.m. today.
Boswell split in district play defeating Coleman 11-10 but falling to Ft. Cobb by the same score. Boswell plays Coleman again today at 4 p.m.
The Rock Creek Lady Mustangs are headed to state after they muscled their way over Roff with a 8-2 win and run-ruled Soper 15-5. Rock Creek (Class 2A) will play in the one-day, single-elimination tournament Wednesday at The Ballfields at Firelake in Shawnee.
Bennington softballers were eliminated after two losses, falling 18-0 to Red Oak and 18-4 to Buffalo Valley.
