Local Democratic women are on the move

To let you know our Democratic women are on the move. At our last meeting, our president, Margaret Taylor and her daughter, told of all the marches they participated in. Marion Hill also participated. I had no idea they had been in those.

When all was said and done, the group felt they could support the efforts of Donald Trump and move on to do the things necessary to keep our country peaceful.

I reported on a recent trip to Tahlequah, where I serve as District Treasurer. We have made ads for the State Convention in March.

Presently we have five active Clubs in our District. Those being Bryan, Cherokee, Delaware, LeFlore and Sequoyah Counties. Mr. Bill John Baker, Chief of the Cherokees was our keynote speaker and encouraged everyone to be supportive of our government, noting that we live in the best country in the world.

All of us will be going to State Convention in OKC on March 13, and hopefully we will be encouraged to continue working toward having a better government to serve us, though the election left all with some mixed emotions.
