Boswell tops the Tigers in Choctaw County match-up

BOSWELL — The Scorpions notched another win Tuesday over Choctaw Copunty rival Fort Towson, knocking off the Tigers 74-45.

Markell Henderson put up impressive numbers according to Coach Parker Harless. In addition to a game-high 22 points, Henderson collected nine rebounds, six blocks and five steals.

Cameron Collier scored 20 points and also had four boards. Tracy Brown notched a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds to go with five steals.

The Scorpions are now 9-4 and currently ranked No. 13 among Class A teams. Losses have been to Tushka, Rattan, Antlers and Kingston but Boswell is now on a four-game winning streak heading into the Christmas break.

Boswell is off until Jan. 4, 2013, when they will visit the struggling Red Bears in Soper. Rattan visits the Scorpions on Jan. 8 before Boswell will see tough competition at the Tushka Tournament on Jan. 10-12.
