Carolyn M. Ferreri a resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed away in Colbert, Oklahoma on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the age of 74 years 5 months and 18 days. She was born on Thursday, June 10, 1938 in Astoria, New York to George F. and Caroline (Koutnik) Noe. Carolyn married Alfred J. Ferreri Sr. in Astoria, New York on Saturday, May 14, 1960 and lived in the New York area until 2005 and then moved to Durant, Oklahoma to be near her children.
Carolyn was a member of the 1st Church of the Nazarene in Durant. She loved to communicate with those in her life with the gift of a well written letter. Carolyn enjoyed reading and watching crime shows. She was lovingly known as “Grammy” to all who knew her.
Mrs. Ferreri is survived by her son, Al Ferreri and wife Jeanece of Durant, Oklahoma; daughter, Lorraine DeSivo and husband Thomas of Wilson, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Kari DeSivo of Durant, Oklahoma, Jake DeSivo of Wilson, Oklahoma, AJ Ferreri of Durant, Oklahoma and Kailey DeSivo of Wilson, Oklahoma; brother, Charles Noe of Clearwater, Florida, numerous neices, nephews , grand neices and grand nephews.
Mrs. Ferreri was preceded in death by her parents, George F. and Caroline Noe; husband, Alfred Ferreri Sr.; brothers, Otto, Joe, George, Al, Havel, Franklin and George Noe; sister, Vesta Quinn; sister-in-law and best friend, Joan Noe.
A Memorial Service in her honor will be held 6:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 1st Church of the Nazarene in Durant with Rev. John Kinsey officiating. In leiu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
