Jeraline (Jerri) Ann Verrill was born January 19, 1944 to Edgar E. Kyle and Martha Elizabeth (Sweat) Kyle in Wetumpka, Alabama. She entered into her eternal homecoming with her Jesus by her side on December 2, 2012. She was 68 years, 10 ½ months old. She married the love of her life, soul mate, and best friend John J. Verrill on June 18, 1966 in her mama’s living room in Denison, Texas with her niece by her side. After retiring she and John made their home in Calera in 2002 after living many years in San Antonio, Texas. She worked for many years at Frost Bank in San Antonio where she became a Bank Officer and had acquired numerous certificates and certifications. She and John are members and fellow servants of the Lord at Victory Life Church in Durant. One of her gifts was to minister to children and young adults. She has mentored too many many young couples and had a part in the lives of 100’s of children as a nursery coordinator. She ministered to all women both young and old. She loved to cook and share meals with all she knew. She loved to can her garden bounty, and make all kinds of jellies, jams, pickles, and relishes in which she shared freely. She loved to enter into the Bryan County Free Fair of which she has earned many high honors and ribbons. More than anything she loved to share her Jesus to anyone that crossed her path. She was a virtuous woman, and she trusted God. Jerri enjoyed many things. She loved to fish, canning all types of foods, gardening, going buggy riding, zoos, quilting and sewing. She always did everything to the best of her ability and as unto the Lord. She was a devoted and loving military wife while her husband was serving our country for 21 and ½ years.
