Many Bryan County basketball teams will hit the road this weekend for a pair of nearby tournaments which will feature intense competition.

Kingston and Tushka are both hosting tournaments starting Thursday which will feature multiple local teams.

The Kingston New Years Classic will include Rock Creek and Silo. Here’s a glance at the schedule, with rankings in parenthesis:

THURSDAY: 11 a.m. Rock Creek girls vs. (6-3A) Tishomingo; 12:20 p.m. Rock Creek boys vs. (5-2A) Latta; 1:40 p.m. Coalgate girls vs. (18-2A) Latta; 3 p.m. Atoka boys vs. Tishomingo; 4:20 p.m. (17-3A) Atoka girls at Kingston; 5:40 p.m. Coalgate boys at Kingston; 7 p.m. Silo girls vs. Madill; 8:20 p.m. (19-2A) Silo boys vs. Madill.

FRIDAY: Winners’ games at 4:20, 5:40, 7 p.m. and 8:20; losers’ bracket games at 11 a.m., 12:20 p.m., 1:40 p.m. and 3 p.m.

SATURDAY: Final games to be held at 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5 p.m. Girls championship at 6:30, boys follow at 8 p.m.

The Tushka Invitational Tournament will follow a similar format, and includes the host Tigers as well as Calera and Boswell from the Bryan County Conference. Thursday games:
