LaDonna Lee Perkins a resident of Mead, Oklahoma passed from this life in Denison, Texas on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the age of 67 years 2 months and 15 days. She was born in Durant, Oklahoma on November 9, 1945 to Robert and Opal (Johnson) Griffin. LaDonna married William Perkins in Durant, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1979.

LaDonna was a member of the Mead Baptist Church in Mead, Oklahoma. She retired from Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas as a Medical Transcriptionist. LaDonna was a sports enthusiast and loved to cheer for the OU Sooners. But more than that she cherished the time she spent watching her own grandchildren play softball, baseball and football.

Mrs. Perkins is survived by her daughter, Misti Perkins of Sherman, Texas; sons, Michael Perkins and wife Wende of Whitewright, Texas and William Lee Perkins, Jr. of Sherman, Texas; mother, Opal Griffin of Mead, Oklahoma; sister, Patricia Dills of Mead, Oklahoma; brothers, Dale Griffin and wife Ruth Ann of Sherman, Texas and James Dean Griffin and wife Mary of Southmayd, Texas; grandchildren, Tori, Toni Perkins of Whitewright, Texas and Loryne Perkins of Caddo, Oklahoma , Brian and Leslie Mutchler of Denison, Texas and Micaiah Wetzold of Sherman, Texas; She was also blessed with 4 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Perkins was preceded in death by her father, Robert Griffin; husband, Billy Perkins; sister, Nelda June Daugherty.

Family Hour will be from 3-4:00 PM on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A Funeral Service in her honor will be held Monday, January 28, 2013, 2:00 PM at the Mead Baptist Church in Mead, Oklahoma with Bro. Kerry Groce officiating. Internmet will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be William Wetzold, Brian Mutchler, Dean Griffin, Jason Stewart, Kenny Womack, Chad Womack, Ronnie Harp and Andreas Liss.
