Janica Danielle Williams and Billy Joe Lawson announce their engagement and upcoming marriage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, in the Gardens of the Bella Vista on the Boulevard in Durant.

Williams is the daughter of Donna Williams of Bokchito and the late Dannye Williams. She is the granddaughter of Gene and Patsy Wren and the late Donald R. Sweeney. She is also the granddaughter of the late Ruhl and Ernie Williams. She is a 2008 graduate of Rock Creek High School and a 2012 graduate of Murray State College, with a nursing degree. She is employed at Choctaw Casino.

Lawson is the son of Johnny and Linda Lawson of Albany. He is the grand son of Dorothy Smith and the late Billy Smith. He is also the grandson of the late William (Jack) and Josephine Lawson. He graduated from Achille High School in 2003 and is employed at Caterpillar in Pottsboro, Texas.
