More than 250 teens from six states are in Durant and Bryan County this week providing free repairs to 39 homes.
The group has been building wheel chair ramps, repairing porches and steps, and putting fresh paint on rooms and exteriors. They have come from several states to volunteer in these efforts. The project began earlier this week and wraps up on Saturday.
Hope for Homes is a cooperative effort of REI Oklahoma, Big Five Community Services, Group Cares and the Durant community.
