A woman is in critical condition after being struck by a train Monday evening, according to Durant Police. The 39-year-old woman, whose name has not been released, was struck by a train at 6:05 p.m. on the South Ninth Avenue railroad tracks on mile north of Rodeo Road, according to Durant Police Lt. A Durant man was critically injured in a crash east of Harthorne on State Highway 1 in Pittsburg County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said. A Kenefic man has been charged with sexually abusing a child. Matthew Charles Davis, 25, was charged Thursday with first-degree rape. According to court papers, Davis engaged in forced sexual intercourse with the victim during the summer of 2006. The 2013 Bryan County Junior Livestock Show and Premium Sale will be hosted at the Bryan County Fairgrounds this weekend.
