Merideth named Durant Superintendent

Durant School Board held a special meeting at noon Wednesday to appoint a new superintendent for the school district after the resignation of Dr. Jason Simeroth.With a unanimous vote by the board, Assistant Superintendent Duane Merideth was named the new Superintendent. Meredith has served on the school board for over 20 years and has served as Assistant Superintendent for fourteen years.Merideth said he is very thankful for the position. DURANT — The Durant Lions hosted Cascia Hall on what turned out to be a Senior Night-mare.
