Rock Creek rolled to a doubleheader sweep of Achille on the road Tuesday to open the 2017 campaign.
The Mustangs picked up a 17-1 win in the opener and claimed game two by a 13-1 score.
In the first game, Noe Alaniz picked up the pitching triumph by striking out five in two scoreless frames. He also added a two-run homer and scored twice.
Darren Ashby, Davis Rogers and Garrett Schafer all recorded two hits for Rock Creek.
For the second game, Carson Nelson tossed one inning with a strikeout while Schafer pitched in a perfect second and Luke Jestis followed with no hits allowed in the third.
Josh Eiler paced the offensive assault with two doubles with Christian McGowan chipping in two hits and two RBI.
Schafer, Rogers, Austin Green, Austin Montgomery and Ashby each finished with two hits as well.
The Mustangs meet Caddo at 4 o’clock Thursday in the Calera Red River Classic.
Silo 10, Soper 0
Dylan Turner and Carson Atwood combined on a one-hit pitching performance as Silo improved to 2-0 on the season.
The mound duo struck out six and walked just one in the five-inning stint.
Silo wasted little time in romping to a 5-0 lead after one frame before pushing the margin to 7-0 after two and 10-0 through three stanzas.
Hunter Ratcliffe fueled the offensive charge for the Rebels with two hits, including a home run.
Parker Holland, Joyal Savage and Trevor Daily also contributed two hits each with Korben Ford, Kash Walls and Braeden Wright all notching one.
The Rebels are slated to visit Broken Bow on Thursday for their next action.
