Celebrating their 69th wedding anniversary on March 12, are J.D. and Faye Fanning of rural route Kenefic, Oklahoma. J.D. and Faye were married in Colbert, Oklahoma, by Rev. Hodge on March 12, 1943, while J.D. was on leave from the United States Air Force. Together, they returned to Independence, Kansas, where they made their first home, and there they would welcome their first born, Jana Sue.

Upon returning to Bryan County, they purchased property in “Blue Bottom” near Kenefic on Hwy. 48 in 1947, and they added to the brood two more daughters, Glenda Faye and Trudy Lee. Faye and J.D. continue to live on their property with family and friends around them. They have been blessed with three sons-in-law and five grandchildren – Cindy Birdsong, of rural route Kenefic; Kurt Haddock and family of Rogers, Arkansas; Jana Haddock of Durant; Lindee Taylor and family of Celina, Texas; and Krista Lucas of Lubbock, Texas. Great grandchildren have been a double blessing: Jessica Birdsong, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Tyler Haddock, of Frisco, Texas; Kayla Haddock of Rogers, Arkansas; Chanlyr, Jex, and Morgan Taylor of Celina, Texas.

May God continue to Bless you Mom and Dad; from all of us to you, Happy Sixty-Ninth Wedding Anniversary! Phone calls and cards are welcomed.
