Mark and Karen Martin, of Granite, OK, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Jade Denise Martin, to Nicholas Dempsey Beene, son of Rick and Dana Beene of Lake Texoma. Jade is the granddaughter of Jerry and Sharon Martin of Granite, OK, and Eddie and Betty Schmidt and the late Eldeen Schmidt of Clinton, OK. Nick is the grandson of Alvin and Patsy Beene of Fort Cobb, OK, and Sue Dempsey and the late John Dempsey of Hobart, OK. Jade attends Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK. Nick is a graduate of USAO in Chickasha, OK, and is currently the head boys basketball coach at Achille Public Schools. A June 2, 2012 wedding is planned and the couple will make their home in Durant, OK.
