An automobile ran over a woman in the parking lot of a Mead tavern, according to the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy John Ray Haislip responded at 1:04 a.m. Sunday to Rolling Thunder Night Club, 1296 Streetman Rd.

When Haislip and Bryan County EMS arrived, there was a woman in the parking lot who was later identified as Marsha David.

A man in the parking lot told Haislip that he found the woman in the parking lot and she said someone ran over her, the report stated. David was conscious at the scene, although she was not able to describe the vehicle that hit her.

Haislip observed what appeared to be tire tracks on the right side of her shirt, according to the report, and she was later flown to Plano Medical Center, Plano, Texas, for treatment.

In other sheriff’s office reports, Haislip investigated a burglary Friday at a Meadows Drive residence. According to the report, Larry Marcy said that when he arrived home that afternoon, he saw that two televisions and a lap top computer were missing. Tire tracks were found in the yard and it appeared that someone had driven a vehicle up to the back door of the home.

Haislip investigated another burglary Thursday at Durant Metal Shredding, 701 S. McLean St. Joe Fulton told the deputy that the chain had been cut on the north gate and two pairs of bolt cutters were found on the ground.

The report stated that a building containing several rolls of wire and also a metal cage containing gas cans had been broken in to. Cable wire and gas cans were among items stolen.

Deputy Ricky Ward investigated the burglary of Gray’s Sawmill on Sawmill Road. Owner Chad Gray said Thursday this is the fourth time the property has been burglarized recently. Video surveillance is shown of the burglar and he appears to be a man in his mid 20s to 30s.
