There was a major water main break at Fifth and Mulberry in Durant Friday evening, Durant/Bryan County Emergency Management said.
For that evening and Saturday morning, many parts of the city had no pressure or low pressure. Emergency management had recommended that residents boil drinking water on Saturday until the lines were flushed and said that water was safe by Saturday evening.
In an unrelated incident, parts of Durant were also hit with a power outage Saturday morning.
