SILO - The Rebels downed Stonewall 6-0 on Friday to capture the fall baseball district championship.

Freshman Trenton Long returned after a long injury hiatus and struck out six in the playoff starting role, including all three in the first inning. Kendall Shives kept the Longhorns scoreless in the final two innings.

Silo scored three in the fourth inning, sparked by a double for Andrew Bolin and a single by Leonard Sandler. Three more Rebels crossed home plate in the sixth on hits by Casey Love, Tanner Clark, Lucas Long and Lance House.

The Silo infield turned double plays in the sixth and seventh to help Shives shut the door on Stonewall.

Regional playoff pairings and locations will be announced early this week. Silo is currently ranked No. 8 among Class A baseball teams in Oklahoma.
