George Edgar Witt, 67 of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away Monday, October 1, 2012 at his home in Kingston. He was born on March 11, 1945 in Stoughton, Massachusetts to the late Edgar Witt and Hattie Eliza Holmes Witt. George was raised in Stoughton and later joined United States Marines. He married Charlotte Mary White on May 19, 1968 in Brockton, Massachusetts. George lived in Lakeville, Massachusetts before moving to Oklahoma City in 1969. He worked for the Oklahoma City Fire Department from 1969 to 1985. George lived in Maine before moving to Lake Texoma in 1990 where he lived the rest of his life. He worked for the Marshall County Sheriff Department, Kingston Police Department, as a Park Ranger and Plumber. George was a member of the Masons, Shriners and the VFW-American Legion. George enjoyed playing golf with his granddaughters who were the joy of his life, riding motorcycles, fishing, flying his plane and shooting his guns at the range.

He is survived by: Wife: Charlotte Witt, Kingston, Oklahoma.Daughter: Patti Feltman and husband Gary, Durant, Oklahoma.Granddaughters: Gabbi, Lexi, and Maddi Feltman, Durant, Oklahoma. Sister: Edna Avery and husband Bill, Laconia, New Hampshire. Sister in-law and Brother in-law: Dona and Skip Schofield, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Nephews and Nieces: Sean Avery, Laconia, New Hampshire, Scott and Debbie Stevens, Jaffery, New Hampshire, Billy and Cassie Avery, Londonderry, New Hampshire, Jodi and Dawn Boston, Yukon, Oklahoma, Artie and Beth Schofield, Mustang, Oklahoma, Billy and Cheryl Yankauskas, Randolph, Massachusetts

Visitation was Thursday at Watts Funeral Home, Kingston, Oklahoma from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. with a family hour from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Services will be today - Friday, October 5, 2012, at 2:00 pm at the Watts Funeral Home, Kingston, Oklahoma. Chris Webb will officiate the services. Music arranged by Ed Zaber. Interment will be at the Kingston Cemetery, Kingston, Oklahoma. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
