The Durant Lady Lions Softball team had a great year in 2012. The Lady Lions finished with a record of 23-16 and fell one game short of thier goal in reaching the State Tournament.
However, the girls on team have been recoginzed for thier hard work on the field and off. Here is a list of the awards and accomplishments the girls have received:
1st team All-Region Team for Region 6: Kailyn Ward (P), MacKenzi Clapp (OF), Katheryn Prentice (2B), and Colby Holder (1B).
1st team All-District for District 5A-4: Colby Holder (1B) and Kailyn Ward (P).
2nd team All-District for District 5A-4: Katie Caraway (SS), Kylie Manning (3B), Alexa Richards (C), MacKenzi Clapp (OF), and Katheryn Prentice (2B).
Also, Durant High School Softball received a plaque for Academic Achievement for 5A softball. Congratulations to all of these girls for an outstanding effort both on and off the field.
