CADDO — Seven members of the Bruins football squad received All-District honors, including three seniors on the first team.

Coach Jeremy Proctor said the first-team honorees included offensive lineman Jack Wright, inside linebacker Josh Yong and corner Jacob Argo. All-district second team from Caddo included running back Tanner Grace, who compiled 933 yards in a nine-game schedule, as well as defensive tackle Virgil Mincher.

Honorable mention honors went to defensive tackle Ryan Minyard and outside linebacker Wyatt Wright.

“It just shows the hard work they put in and what they tried to accomplish,” Proctor said. “They’ve worked hard and it finally paid off for them. With this tough district, there is a lot of competition so it’s good to have this honor. It’s a big motivator for the young kids.”

Caddo went 3-6 this season in their first 11-man campaign in more than a decade. Their district includes last year’s Class A champion Wayne and this year’s state semifinalist Wynnewood. Right at one year ago, the Bruins were wrapping up the first state football title in school history with a 14-0 record in eight-man football.
