Carol McGee and Tom Atkinson were united in marriage on Nov. 23, 2012 at 2:00pm in the chapel at First Baptist Church, Durant.  Bro. James Robinson officiated the ceremony.  Carol is the daughter of Ronnie & Barbara Coker of Calera. Tom is the son of the late Donald and Lillie Atkinson of Silo.  The mother of the bride was escorted by Colton Burns. The bride was escorted by her father.  Abby Martin, Cheyenne McGee and Alissa Atkinson attended the bride.  Jami Waldrum served as Matron of Honor.  Caden McGee, Colton Burns and Zachary Ashby served as groomsmen.  Chris Ashby served as Best Man.  The wedding was photographed by the Bride's sister, Holly Ashby and Lucas Ashby assisted with the music.
Carol wore a strapless, ivory cathedral length dress and veil.  She carried red roses wrapped with black ribbon.  Bridesmaids wore black knee length dresses and carried off white roses with burgandy accents.  The bride walked in to "God Gave Me You"- Blake Shelton.  The song "Wanted"-by Hunter Hayes was played after the couple exchanged vows.  The bride and groom left the chapel to the song "You" by Chris Young.
A private reception followed at Roma Italian Restaurant and the couple honeymooned in Dallas.  The Atkinson's established their home in Calera.
