Margaret Leigh Pinkerton

Margaret Leigh Pinkerton, formerly Margaret Hall, 61, of Durant, Oklahoma, went to meet her Lord and Savior, December 13, 2012. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She was born September 9, 1951, in Tazewell, Virginia. Margaret moved to Dallas, Texas as a child where she resided for over forty years.

She met and married, Charles T. “Tommy” Pinkerton in 1969, who preceded her in death in 1992, after 23 years of marriage. Margaret worked many years as a waitress, where she enjoyed taking care of and establishing friendships with loyal patrons. After retiring, she moved to Durant, Oklahoma where she has resided for the past thirteen years. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandbabies.

Margaret was also preceded in death by her father and mother, W. Mack and Macie Hall; brothers, Jerry and Robert Hall; sisters, Mary Brown, Freda Matheson and Joyce Johann; and granddaughter, Addison Garrett.

She is survived by her children: son, Chris Pinkerton and wife Aimee of Irving, Texas; son, Mike Pinkerton and wife Amy of Bedford Texas; son, Brian Pinkerton of Lewisville; daughter, Ashley Pinkerton of Durant, Oklahoma; daughter, Amanda Garrett of Durant, Oklahoma; her sister, Evelyn Woolery and husband Kenneth of Dayton, Ohio; her brother, Archie and wife Kitty, of Jupiter, Florida, 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Cunningham Funeral Home, 120 Burney st., Colbert, OK with Jimmy Ford officiating.
