The Durant City Council will hold a special meeting at 3 p.m. Friday to discuss a grant contract as well as city lot issues.
The meeting will be held in the Roscoe J. Hatfield Council Chambers of Durant City Hall at 300 W. Evergreen. It will be open to the public.
The first agenda item will be for council approval of a contract modification with Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency for a 2011 HOME renovation grant. The city is asking to extend the project period from February 2013 until August to complete the project for four homes in the city.
A public hearing is scheduled to discuss a petition by Winkelmann & Associates to re-plat lots in Block 166 which will then be known as “CVS Durant Addition Lot 1, Block 1.”
The council will consider an ordinance to re-plat the lots after the public hearing, as well as a resolution to close a portion of an alley adjacent to the lots.
The final agenda item will have the council “consider (an) acceptance of a request of Durant Industrial Authority to annex territiory” and authorize the city clerk to publish and mail notices of the proposed annexation.
