The Durant Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the launch of a new program for the new year. After months of anticipation, multiple steering committee meetings and much brainstorming, it is an exciting fact that Durant’s Young Professionals (DYP) organization will launch its existence at, 6:00 p.m. today at Roma Italian Restaurant, 121 W. Main St.
The organization is open to anyone interested, especially those who are in their 20s, 30s or young at heart. The planning for DYP has been carried out by a steering committee of local young professionals who are thrilled to see DYP come to life.
Those serving on the steering committee include: Katie Garrett, Sara Smallwood, Chris Ribera, Geoff Newman, Matt Davison, Crystal Maynard, Jason Winborn, Paige Scott and Janet Reed.
The organization will provide a unique opportunity for emerging professionals to connect with one another, and with the community of Durant, through opportunities for professional and leadership development.
