CANEY – Garrette Wall erupted for 19 points in Thursday’s 67-38 Tushka victory over the Caney Cougars.
Wall went 8-11 from the field and also gathered 13 rebounds for the Tigers. Lane Faulkenberry scored 14 on 4-11 three-point shooting, and Jody Moreland scored 13 to help the Tigers.
Tushka outrebounded Caney 28-20 in the contest. The Tigers move to 12-6 on the season following a 58-45 loss to Antlers on Friday.
Tushka girls 42 Caney 28
The Lady Tigers of Tushka took a 42-28 win over Caney on Thursday behind a combined 25 points from Logan Carbaugh and Katelyn Cook.
Carbaugh scored 14, including 6-for-6 free throw shooting to help the team’s overall 72 percent mark. Cook had 11 points and also grabbed 11 boards on her way to a double-double.
The Lady Tigers built a 12-5 lead after one quarter and never looked back, winning each quarter thereafter. Tushka outscored the Lady Cougars 30-23 the rest of the way.
Kelsey Chambers added eight points and eight rebounds, while Jayden Eaves scored seven for Tushka.
On Friday, Tushka split back-to-back games with a 52-21 loss in Antlers. The LadyCats of Antlers (12-3) are ranked 13th among Class 3A schools.
