DURANT – The SHARE Children’s Chorus is opening auditions for all interested students grades 3-8 for the spring semester.

The Chorus meets from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays in the Southeastern Fine Arts Building. Auditions and rehearsals begin on Jan. 22.

Formed in 2011, the SHARE Children’s Chorus has enjoyed singing, learning about music and performing. The Chorus is led by Dr. Jeri Walker, Donna Massey Professor in Music Education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

SHARE is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing all children in the Texoma region with excellent arts experiences to enrich their lives and the life of the community.

The Chorus is not limited to those who have musical experience or are deemed “talented.” There is a place for all students interested in participating and all students are encouraged to sing and learn in the SHARE Children’s Chorus.
