Lindsey Makayla Blanton was born June 17, 1997 in Sherman, TX. to Kendall Allen and Linda Moore Blanton and left her family here on earth to join Jesus and her heavenly family on January 19, 2013 at the age of 15 years and 7 months at her home in Durant, OK.

Lindsey was a sophomore student at Durant Sr. High School. She loved playing sports and was in training for spring soccer. She had received many medals and trophies over the years for her efforts and successes. She was in dance and a member of the Durant Stompers; she participated in many contests and had to give it up for sports. She played the piano and clarinet. Her family enjoyed all of her activities. She loved being with her family and friends, Therese Miller, Haley Payne, Vincent Potter and all the others too numerous to list. She and special cousin Alyssa Kendall loved doing everything together especially vacations and family trips. She enjoyed music, art, video games, her pets, and her computer. Shopping with her mom and Mimi Irene was the highlight of her day. Mimi didn’t know the word “no.”

If Lindsay could she would say to her family and friends, I’m in a better place. Please remember I love you all dearly. I want you to live your lives to the fullest serving God. Tell your family and friends you love them every day. Listen and always be there for them. I will see you again.

Lindsey was preceded in death by her Dad, Kendall Blanton 2006, Papa B.J. Moore 2002, “Nana” Martha Fralicks Wright 2012, great-grandparents Russell and Ethel Chalk, P.O. Buck and Bessie Moore.

She is survived by her mother Linda Moore Blanton, brother Allen Blanton, special Mimi Irene Moore, uncle Eric Wright, and a host of great uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
