Congressman Markwayne Mullin will be visiting Durant as part of an extensive town hall tour this week.
Mullin will be speaking at 6 p.m. Friday at the Kiamichi Technology Center, 810 Waldron Drive. Mullin encouraged citizens to attend and ask questions.
“I’ve said from the very beginning that no one would outwork us and I meant it,” Mullin said, in a news release. “We want to be very proactive to stay in contact with the District. I’m committed to doing Town Hall events often so there can be a constant line of communication available. We want to be able to visit with as many people as possible as often as possible.”
These series of Town Hall events will be the first that Congressman Mullin has participated in since being sworn in to office. In December of 2012 as Congressman-elect, Mullin held an extensive “Listening Tour” with stops in all 26 counties of the Second District.
