Mrs. Cooper was born August 7, 1927 in Woodward, Oklahoma the daughter of J. L. and Hattie Mae (Leflet) Tannahill. She married Murray Cooper December 22, 1945 in Grayson County. Eveleen was a resident of Colbert Oklahoma for 64 years most of which was spent on the family farm raising her children and tending to the livestock with the rest of the family. Eveleen loved to talk and enjoyed sharing the experiences of her life especially her childhood days growing up with her brothers and sisters. She also spoke with great fondness of the trips that she and Murray would take to Washington state in the early 1950’s to work in the apple orchards in the Wenatchee and Chelan area during harvest time. The natural beauty of the region left an everlasting impression upon her. Eveleen was the perfect mother, selfless and supportive of her children in everything they did. We are forever grateful. Eveleen loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Eveleen will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
