Phyllis Colleen (Whitten) Ridling, 69, of Colbert, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday morning February 12, 2013 at her residence. She was born January 7, 1944 in Achille, Oklahoma to Joe Arnold and Joy Muriel Scott Whitten. Colleen Graduated from Colbert High School and married her high school sweetheart. She and Jim have been married for 53 years. She lived in Colbert most of her life and was a member of the Colbert United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Sister Barbara Lewis and Brother Leo Whitten.
She is survived by her Husband Jim Ridling of the home Colbert. Two Daughters Laurie Bassett of Colbert and Kay Beth Bledsoe and husband Mike of Colbert. Two Sons James Ridling of Denison and Scott Ridling and wife Carolyn of Colbert.
She was known as ” Grand Grand” by Four Grandchildren Jim Ann Bassett, Ben Bassett and Jennifer Butler, Lacy Cooper and husband Robert, Nicholas Cantrell and Seven Great Grandchildren Chance Haile, Libby Jones, Scout Jones, Aaron Bassett, Colin Bassett, Haden Cooper and McKenzie Bassett. Two Sisters Bertie Jenkins and Ruby Waits both of Colbert. Brother Stanley Trammell of Cartwright. Numerous Nieces and Nephews also survive.
A Memorial Service for Phyllis Colleen Ridling will be 10:00 A.M. Friday morning February 15, 2013 at Cunningham Funeral Chapel in Colbert with Reverend Bill Brown officiating.
A lunch will follow the service at the Colbert United Methodist Church.
