Durant Lion basketballer James Donelan didn’t play basketball last year, but he came in this season and made an immediate impact on the team and led the state in blocked shots and was voted team MVP.
The 6’7” junior center/power forward averaged 6.73 blocks per game for a total of 148 blocks in 22 games. He also was 2nd on the team in rebounding with 5.4 per game, assist and shooting percentage of 53%.
“He’s a great kid with tons of potential.” said head coach Jason Wilkerson,”If he gets serious about the game and puts some real work in this summer and in the off season to improve his offensive skill set and strength, he will have the opportunity to play at the next level”
There are only three players in Texas that has more blocks than Donelan and they played 10 more games.
