A Mead woman was injured Sunday after losing control of her vehicle and rolling it, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

Donna Hedgecock, 36, was taken by Bryan County EMS to the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma where she was listed in stable condition with head, leg and internal injuries.

According to the patrol, Hedgecock was driving her Explorer at a high rate of speed at 7:06 p.m. northbound on Leavenworth Trail south of Church Road when her vehicle traveled off the roadway to the left and rolled two times. Hedgecock, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected approximately 10 feet.

Unsafe speed was cited in Trooper Robby Keeling’s report as the cause of the crash.
