Services for Coreen Hargis, 92, of Durant, who passed away Thursday, May 7, 2009, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Reynolds Chapel in Bokchito. Rev. Bob McLean will officiate.

Coreen was born Tuesday, Nov. 28, 1916, in Daisy, Ark., to W.F. Jones and Ella (Whatley), then she moved to Bryan County where she had been a longtime resident. She married Homer Hargis in March of 1936 in Clayton. She attended the Bokchito Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Roy Lee Hargis, two brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by son Troy Hargis and wife Carolyn, Bokchito; granddaughter Brenda Smith and husband Clint, Harrah; grandsons Troy Wayne Hargis and wife Suzanne, Harrah, and Tommy Dale Hargis, Kemp; great-grandchildren Brandy Sole, Tacoma, Wash., Sandra Smith, Kevin Smith, Devin Smith, Jeffery Hargis and Rachel Hargis, all of Harrah, and Timothy Hargis, Iraq; seven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; six great-great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at Bokchito Cemetery in Bokchito. Coreen’s grandchildren and nephews will be pallbearers.

Family hour is from 7-8 p.m. today at the Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home.
