Doyle T. East, 67, of Durant passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012 .Doyle was born April 23, 1945 in Caddo, OK to Charlie East and Annie Belle (Mincher) East. He graduated from Caney High School and after graduation joined the United States Army where he proudly served his country during Vietnam. Doyle married Toni Ann Cherry on August 16, 1969 in Durant OK, where they made their home here in Durant and raised their family. He worked at J. C. Potters Sausage Company since Aug of 1976, he is a member of Silo Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Dairl Wayne East, Charlie J. East, Jack East and J.C. East and one sister Sarah J. McDaniel.
Doyle is survived by his loving wife Toni East of the home, two sons Stacy East of Durant and Brent East of Durant, one daughter Rebecca Steudeman and husband Leon of Hendricks, OK, two granddaughters Robin and Melody East, one grandson Jesse Lee Truman Steudeman, three sisters Mary Buckner and husband Clois of Adair, OK, Olivia Marsh and husband Wayne of Timpson, TX, and Charlene Lykins of Nixa, Missouri, a sister in law Ginger Smith and husband Jerry of Durant, and numerous other loving relatives.
Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Randy Tadlock officiating. Interment will be at Silo Cemetery with Richard McIntire, David Herman, Kenneth Hampton, Glen Russell, Roy Horton and Weldon White serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Herb Manning and Ron Manning. Family hour will be from 6-8 PM, Monday, November 19, 2012 at the funeral home.
