Dennis Glynn Carriker, 64, of Mead, OK went to be with his Heavenly Father on November 19, 2012 in Shawnee, OK. He was born March 24, 1948 in Oklahoma City, OK to Glynn Carriker and Marie (Helms) Latham. He attended Grand Prairie High School and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Dennis married Patricia Pickett on November 11, 1972 in Grand Prairie, TX and later moved to Bryan County in 1985. He worked as a carpenter and was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Mead. He loved fishing, his dog Tippy, and spending lots of time with family and friends. He never met a stranger and loved helping everyone.

He is preceded in death by his biological father Glynn Carriker, parents George and Marie Latham.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Carriker of the home, son Charles Roddy and wife Sherry of Rio Vista, TX, daughter Kathryn Wedin and husband Christopher of Burleson, TX, brother Lawrence Latham and wife Carol of Mead, OK, sister Kim Williams and husband Dale of Colleyville, TX, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Service will be Monday, November 26, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Bro. Randy Lewis will be officiating with interment at Mead Cemetery. Family Hour will be on Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 6-8:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Latham, David Meyer, Aaron Struble, Tommy Russell, Brandon Hendricks, Robert Reid, Eddie Talley, Eddie O’Brien, and Bob Williams.
