Nela Mae (Smith) Hull, age 87, of Oklahoma City passed away on December 24, 2012, in Oklahoma City. Graveside services will be held at 10:00am, Friday, January 11, 2013, at Gethsemane Cemetery, Caddo Okla. with Pastor Raymond “Ray” Bailey officiating.

Nela was born on April 17, 1925 to Harvey Cornelious Smith and Velma O’Della (Lawson) Smith in Matoy, Okla. She married Clovos “Choc” Hull on September 11, 1943, in Caddo, Okla.

Nela was a teacher’s aide at Graham, Madill and Hugo schools. She then moved to Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activity Association as secretary before retiring to care for her husband. She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed cooking and sewing. Nela was the best mother anyone could have. She was an avid OU football and Thunder basketball fan. She dearly loved her two dogs. She loved to have visitors and to spend time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and granddaughter, Lacey Dawn Hull.

Nela is survived by her sons; Gerry Hull of Marietta, Okla, Ronnie Hull and wife, Coral, of Marietta, Gene Hull and wife, Linda, of Lebanon, Okla., grandson, Kyle Hull of Marietta and brother, Dan Smith and wife, Dee, of El Paso, Texas. Niece, Lisa Kasin, of Colorado and nephew, Danny Smith, of El Paso, Texas.
