Bobbie Covington, 78, of Durant, OK passed away on January 24, 2013 in Denison, TX. She was born on May 20, 1934 in Blue, OK to Clint and Grace (Mullens) Holt. She attended school in Durant. She married the love of her life, Guy Covington on November 4, 1956. She loved to help out at Sue’s Daycare and take care of the babies. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, sewing, reading, and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and a son.

She is survived by her husband, Guy Covington of the home, daughters; Sue Stair of Durant and Debbie Richardson of Denison, TX, grandsons; Shawn Hurst of Durant, Shane Hurst and wife Kari of Durant, Rhett Richardson of Denison, TX, granddaughter Whitney Richardson and fiancé Cane Shumaker of Tulsa, OK, great granddaughters; Sheriden Hurst of Durant and Kara Richardson of Denison, TX, great granddaughter Cooper Shane Hurst of Durant, sisters; Jerry Bassett and husband Joe of Denison, TX, Bessie Manning and husband Melvin of Durant, and Betty Phillips and husband Weldon of Durant, brother Bennie Holt of Durant and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 2:00PM at Gethsemane Cemetery with Dr. Lowell Howard officiating. Family hour will be Saturday, January26, 2013 from 6-8:00 PM.
