Memorial services for Alan Daniel age 58 of Anna, Texas will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel in Van Alstyne, Texas. Jermey Moore will officiate. Alan passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at his residence.
John Alan Daniel Saved in a motel room reading the Gideons Bible. His favorite Bible verse was 1 John 3:1 Beloved, what manner of love He has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.
Alan loved the outdoors, whether fishing, exploring, or riding his Harley through the countryside and enjoying nature. He loved reading & learning about history. There was not a roadside historical marker he passed up. The simple things in life seemed to please him the most.
He is survived by his wife Karen Daniel and stepchildren, Hayden and Riley Self, his children Josh Daniel, Chase and wife Amee Tison, and daughter Annie Daniel, his parents Roger and Louise Daniel, his brother Duane and wife Patty Daniel, his sister DeAnna and husband Bobby Bergeron and three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Cleo and grandparents.
