Durant Police participated in First United Bank’s National Acts of Kindness Day Feb. 16 by handing out chocolate bars at the University Boulevard and 12th Avenue intersection. First United Bank encouraged its 34 Oklahoma communities in which they have locations to participate in this year’s United Acts of Kindness Day with the goal to complete 350,000 acts of kindness in one day. Through the United Acts of Kindness website, those participating could add their activities to the overall total. The program surpassed its goal and there were 784,236 acts of kindness.
