Durant Rotary had its 2nd annual Four-Way Test Speech Contest for local high school students in Bryan County on February 3. The Four-Way Test is the motto used by Rotarians world-wide as a moral code for personal and business relationships. The Test is as follows: The Four-Way Test of the things we think, say or do First – Is it the TRUTH?

Second – Is it Fair to all concerned?

Third – Will it build Good Will and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

Fourth – Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

“The goal of the contest is for the students to select a subject of interest to them and incorporate the values of the Four Way Test in their presentations,” said Rotary President Jeremiah Lynch. “Each year the students come up with many creative and passionate presentations and the students thoroughly enjoy it.”

There are cash prizes and the first-place winner represented the Durant Rotary Club on February 17 in Ardmore at the District Finals.
